About
I am Rachel Henderson, Doctor of Physical Therapy, Yoga Instructor, Step Mom, Former athlete, and wife. I have the knowledge and tools to be really healthy and guide others to great health. I am also a realist. Sometimes it is a fight to exercise, quiet time and space for meditation can be elusive, not to mention making vegetables with dinner is VERY different from kids eating them. Viewing health as a destination or striving to meet fitness goals or mirror “the health nut” simply looks different for all of us. This community is designed to support the journey of well being. This means sometimes the workout goes on pause to support a kid or spouse. Sometimes we can engage family in our health choices. Always, we learn to pause, ask “is it feasible to make a better/healthier choice?” And we learn that sometimes the better choice IS sleeping an extra hour not running 3 miles. IgniteWellness is real, because the challenges to health and wellness are real. Tips, tools and resources will vary in intensity and time commitment. Remember even 30 seconds of breathing with self love makes a big difference.
