There have been some big life changes and I am fairly tired most days. At the office we sent Bryn off to the next step of her journey in Texas and have welcomed Dr. Betsy (DPT, MT) so we can provide PT (including dry needling, massage and lymphatic work) while I am on maternity leave with our baby girl.
My last few OB appointments were basic check ins on blood pressure, baby size (measured by uterus height) and baby's heart rate. Everything has been good although baby is measuring on the bigger side. I am not sure if that measurement is off due to the changes of my uterus from going through IVF or not. We will get an ultrasound to verify her size and position next week. I don't love extra testing but it will be great to peak at how she is doing! We may also have the Fetal Non Stress Test just to be sure we are safe to travel and haven't missed anything. It is a joy to feel the extra kicks and baby movement. It usually makes me giggle, which is then challenging for the OB to get baby girl's heart rate!
I am blessed that other than being tired and feeling like Baron Harkonnen (see DUNE characters) I am doing well. There are still ups and downs. When I don't sleep well I have more pregnancy brain and my control of tone and word choice falters. Hubby has had a rollercoaster trying to communicate with me as I can be calm and sharing information but the tone gets warped and the words suggest to him I am angry. We will make it through and look back with a laugh. I can't believe we only have 6 weeks (or less) to go!
