Our little girl is growing and definitely demands I take breaks. She does not like when I stand for more than 20-30 minutes and shifts into a position that presses on a nerve. (Meralgia Paresthetica from lateral femoral cutaneous nerve compression which means my right quad goes numb). I am 95% confident I felt her first strong kick today. I simply sat down between patients at work and bam- right in my lower belly. Depending on where you look baby is the size of a banana, troll doll, or sweet potato this week. In the course of the week she will grow from approximately 6.5 inches to 10.5 inches. We have been talking to her and reading to her.
I am hanging in there. Some days I feel I have my super woman strength and energy and others I feel like a struggle-saurus. Overall, I think I am more enjoyable to be around, but Steven and the boys still avoid me so I know I have some hormonal moodiness happening. I am shocked by being out of breath with new patient evaluations and already find reaching to tie my shoes a good bit farther away. I am excited and blessed to be on this journey and looking forward to the coming months!
