Our little gummy bear is now the size of a walnut. This week we are defining fingers and toes and growing the body hair that protects the developing skin. It's amazing to study embryology and it supports the new techniques Steven has been using in the office.
Cravings have now included chicken and waffles as well as milkshakes. Mac N Cheese is the steady winner for what I want to eat. I keep going too long between meals/snacks and I pay for it by feeling nauseous and loosing my appetite. I know I should be eating more eggs and green veggies- I am finding it hard to eat scrambled eggs at 10:00 when at work. But then over the weekend what I want to eat is very different.
Energy levels are still low. I felt good when I got out of bed at 7:00 and by 8:30 I was ready to go back to sleep. I have trained for and ran a 50 mile trail race and was not this tired. Growing a baby is tiring work! I did get to meet my 5 week old niece yesterday and that was a wonderful reminder of the joy on the other side of the challenging journey.
Next ultrasound is with my OB 12/20.
