Blood work today showed Hcg at 4826- That is the healthy and expected rise of at least doubling every 2 days. I am sleeping a lot. It is time to re-instate nap time on office days. The days we have meetings will now also have a nap built in. Food cravings so far have been mac n cheese and pumpkin ice cream. The big hurdle is that my hunger now feels a lot like nausea and woosiness. If I eat something I do feel better, especially if I can get protein. I am grateful for being pregnant in the cooler months. I would love stew and chili and soup everyday, not an easy choice if it was over 90* outside!
My medications are still estrogen 3 times per day, progesterone shot in the morning and progesterone pill at night. My tush is getting a little bruised but Steven and I are much better at the intramuscular shots this time around. I also alternate in my quads to give my glute muscles a break. Thank goodness for muscular legs!
I have also found my clothes don't fit. The extra hormones with IVF make it likely I will have a baby bump earlier than in naturally occuring pregnancies. I'm trying to look professional as a PT but would really love to wear scrubs right now. It's tricky to find clothes that look nice and allow me to move around patients. Speaking of, I am blessed to have Bryn trained and working well at the office. We are seeing 12+ patients per day. If on my own it would be 4 or 5. Being tired is tricky but this baby is going to get what it needs!
